RESPECTED, WE INVITE YOU TO TAKE PART OF THE 2nd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR REGIONAL COLABORATION ON TOPIC: OCCUPATIONAL CANCER AND MORE, THAT WILL BE HELD FROM THE PERIOD 10-11.11.2016 IN THE HOTEL JELOVICA IN BLED, SLOVENIA.
Occupational cancer is a problem that needs to be tackled across the European Union (EU). Estimates of the recent and future burden of occupational diseases indicate that occupational cancer is still a problem and will remain so in the future as a result of exposure of workers to carcinogens. There are many carcinogenic exposures that cause cancer and claim lives – well over 50 substances are listed as known or probable cause of work related cancer (causes of workplace cancer). Across the EU, 1 in 5 workers faces an occupational cancer risk. Across the world, the number of people dying from a work-caused cancer far outstrips those dying because of work accidents. It’s estimated that at least 666,000 people die worldwide every year*.
All stakeholders in the field of occupational safety and health in the area of the Balkans and beyond are invited. Several domestic and foreign renowned experts in the field of occupational health and safety at work already confirmed their participation on (at to) the conference.
